Par la suite, les diff\u00E9rentes versions - F.VIIa/3m, F.VIIb/3m et F.10 - sont toutes \u00E9quip\u00E9es de trois moteurs et deviennent connues sous le nom de Fokker Trimotor. Pouvant transporter de 8 \u00E0 12 passagers, le F.VII est choisi par plusieurs compagnies a\u00E9riennes pionni\u00E8res, en Europe et en Am\u00E9rique. Avec son concurrent le Ford Trimotor, il domine le march\u00E9 am\u00E9ricain vers la fin des ann\u00E9es 1920. Cependant, l\u2019accident du (en) qui co\u00FBte la vie \u00E0 Knute Rockne (entra\u00EEneur d\u2019une \u00E9quipe de football am\u00E9ricain) met un terme \u00E0 cet \u00E9tat de gr\u00E2ce.
