  • Paris Saint-Germain Football Club is a professional football club based in Paris, France. The capital club was founded on 12 August 1970 following the merger of Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain. However, the club split in 1972, Paris FC remaining in the Ligue 1 and PSG demoted to Division 3. Looking for new backing, following PSG’s promotion to Ligue 2 in 1973, President Henri Patrelle made way for investor Daniel Hechter and the club attained professional status. PSG returned to Ligue 1 in 1974, ironically at the same time that Paris FC was relegated, and moved into the Parc des Princes that year. Since then, PSG has never been relegated from the top-flight. Having won 20 titles, PSG is the fourth most successful club in France and one of only two French clubs (with Olympique de Marseille) to win a major European club competition. This list encompasses Paris Saint-Germain's major honours and records set by club, their presidents, managers and players. The player records section includes the leading goalscorers and top appearance-makers in first-team competitions. It also records notable achievements by PSG players on the international stage, and the highest transfer fees paid and received by the club. Attendance records at the Parc des Princes are also included in the list.
