  • L'Agence européenne de coopération des régulateurs de l'énergie (couramment désignée sous son sigle anglophone ACER) est une agence de l'Union européenne créé dans le cadre du marché intérieur de l'énergie et opérationnelle à partir du 3 mars 2011.Elle traite de questions relatives à l'énergie d'importance européenne ou transfrontalière et assure la coordination des agences nationales de régulation de l'énergie. À partir de juillet 2013, l'Agence doit mettre en place la « Plate-forme centrale pour la transparence des informations sur l'électricité » prévue par un règlement européen.

  • The European Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) is an Agency of the European Union by the Third Energy Package in 2009. It was established in 2010 and has its seat in Ljubljana, Slovenia.On, 4 and 5 May 2010, ACER held the inaugural meeting of its Board of Regulators in Brussels. At the inaugural meeting, Lord Mogg was elected the first Chair of ACER’s Board of Regulators and Mr Walter Boltz the Vice Chair, each appointed for a 2.5 year (renewable) period. On 6 May, the Administrative Board designated Alberto Pototschnig as its first Director. By deciding on their director and chairs, ACER took a step forward towards becoming fully operational.Basis for its establishment is the Regulation 713/2009 of the European Parliament and the Council of 13 July 2009. The Regulation describes the establishment and legal status, tasks, organisation and financial provisions.The ACER is the second intergovernmental organization headquartered in Slovenia. The first was the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE).
