rdfs:comment	La Constitution civile du clergé est un décret adopté en France par l'Assemblée nationale constituante le 12 juillet 1790, durant la Révolution française. Sanctionnée contre son gré par Louis XVI le 24 août 1790, elle réorganisait unilatéralement le clergé séculier français, instituant une nouvelle Église, l'Église constitutionnelle, tout en amorçant la déchristianisation. C'est la première expérience de laïcité en France. Cette réorganisation fut condamnée par le pape Pie VI, le 10 mars 1791, ce qui provoqua la division du clergé français en clergé constitutionnel (les jureurs) et clergé réfractaire.La constitution civile du clergé fut abrogée par le concordat de 1801.
