Il traduisit également un grand nombre de poètes symbolistes (Paul Verlaine, Stéphane Mallarmé, Georges Rodenbach, Émile Verhaeren, Maurice Maeterlinck), ainsi que Paul Claudel. Son œuvre principale, Kaichoon (海潮音, 1905), regroupe ses traductions de poètes occidentaux. (fr)
